The point I was making was that if it is a clad coin the dissimiliar metals won't allow a ring true. If the counterfeitor uses the same metal throughout, the weight will be off. Incidentally, possessing non-genuine coins that are not clearly marked as such is veiwed the same as being in possession of "counterfeit" currency...Don't buy them...Don't support this industry...Hang long.

I was gonna sell all of my engelhard (about 150 coins) back to APMEX! lol

American Silver eagle is .999 but it is wider and thinner, thus it makes more louder, longer ring tone than other generic .999 1oz round? Please correct me if I was wrong.
