Did they say anything about insiders buying shares? No.
Did they say anything about the "transaction" that never happened? No.
Did they tell us why I.M. left? No.

Reading from the script is fine, as long as they are not lying. In every CC many presenters will have notes and/or rehearsed what they will say. The Q&A is where it can become random.
The script gives them a chance to cover all the bases, and not not forget anything they wanted to discus.
If they spoke from the top of their heads then there is a chance they might forget some key points or worse give wrong information; that would have been a disaster.
Yes their dialogue sounded artificial but I dont see it that big of a deal.
