road: After reading the Rothschild patents today, I have to say you are right on the money. GS1 is trying to standardize the content delivered to the cell phone and that is exactly what these patents do. They allow retailers and manufacturer to control the content viewed by consumers. I think Rothschild will regret giving up his ownership.
