Even though Fisher wants to control everything, he want everyone including himself he is laid back and let everyone do things on their own. And he blames everyone else for his own fault.
Yes he gets the blame, but per that dialog he had time to back out of the deal before he totally committed everything to trying to make it work. The way the stock tanked the day BNPD was revealed as the partner should have given him a clue that maybe it was not such a good deal, yet he let it proceed into a semi-reverse merger.
