No limit on the number of naked short shares. Especially since no one, certainly not the SEC, gives a damn about pursuing enforcement.

In all honesty, there is probably a massive quant or a highly skilled trader with very deep pockets that has established a great system for manipulating CCME. Regardless of the efforts to drive the price down we have a rock solid base in the 15's when it use to be in the 8's and this divi is an invitation for all of the high class investors that will start joining the party and help us put the next big floor in the mid 20's.

If anyone wants to make a gentlemanly wager with me that CCME will not hit $30 in 2011 I'm game. Just PM me the terms.

Smells like naked shorting to me....

I have no idea what these folks are thinking. These shares that they are shorting are just being absorbed into the accounts of long term players. I had always thought their theory/plan was to drive the price down with small 100 share blocks so that they could trigger some stop loss orders that they could scoop up to cover with... that is NOT happening, as folks seemed to have smartened up and adjusted their stops.. I also thought that they were hopeful that they could trigger a panic sell-off - that is clearly not happening either, as we have traded nearly 2 mil shares and have actually stayed in a relatively narrow range.

All they seem to be doing is digging a deeper hole for themselves, possibly with phantom naked shares. I can not imagine that this is retail shorts, they would have been long gone by now. Who could be doing this? And Why? It does not make any sense.
