SC is not a common practice in BK. Subordinates are generally subordinated to senior creditors in any BK. I don't believe that any senior would give up any contractual subordination provisions, especially when there is so little in the pot to share amongst the creditors.
Not all SC are the same.
CTs have a better chance in SC, however, it is not guaranteed. There must be money in the pot. CT = Lotto.
