#7589 RE: rjp #7582

Well, since you seem to have directed your response at me, I will ask you this question? At what point to you think they should issue a dividend if ever? With 400 million profit in the bank? With a billion in the bank? With 2 billion in the bank? If you answer yes to any one of those times then it is only a question of at what profit point should they issue the dividend. If you say never, then what do you think they should do with those profits piling up? It won't be any better for any acquisition and I would argue they would better there position even in that respect if they issue a dividend last quarter, now , or asap. The reason most new companies don't issue dividends early on on their high growth phase is because there forward earnings are not established and they don't have the money in the bank to do so anyway. We have both of those.
I am sure if you look at my post their will be no waiver in my sentiment. I think a HUGE fiduciary responsibility of the company in this current position is to issue a dividend at this profit andpoint in how they established their earnings. I would like to hold this stock for years and years and if I am not to sell my shares I want to collect dividends as an incentive to hold. And if I am a short term holder, I want to see current situations like credibility and volatility rooted out at the cause, not the symptoms. I also don't think management should only be expected to act primarily on their earn out share incentives. We do need for those two goals to be in conflict. Sorry, I disagree with you on your view, and the fact that the stock has suffered because of falling prey to current market conditions make it only more important for me that management needs to see the obligation of current buyback and dividend policy. I have nothing against Jacky, I actually like the guy. The company is more than him. I like the company. I like the business model.... I also will be more upset if next quarter does not show buybacks and a dividend.
