Re: falling vs rising wedges
It's not surprising really. Remember, a bull market needs volume/enthusiasm/effort. A bear market can fall on disinterest alone.
So, if buyers lose interest as a wedge builds upward, the market will fall, thus confirming the rising wedge. If, on the other hand, buyers lose interest while the market is building a falling wedge there is nothing to push the market back up and the wedge fails.
