The trend has retreated towards momentum plays.. A pointless endeavor that takes all the finesse out of the game and turns one from a sniper into a hack with a shotgun.
~!~ Could these pointless momentum times be also the fallout from opening trading to the general public with home internet platforms which companies were more than happy to supply, creating thousands of traders (and robots) who haven't bothered to actually learn what a trade is, how to read charts or even grasp the fundamental concepts that technical, fundamental and market sentiment could work together to give a deeper understanding of market trading... does joe trader even know what a candles shadow is ... or audited sec filings or who gets pissed off if north and south Korea lob bombs at each other and kinks the yen... I liken today's electronic trader, who looks at momo and reacts and possibly doesn't have a clue WHY the movement is happening to today's phone photographers who think their web quality digital is outstanding quality may not even know what a film negative is let alone silver halide crystals which started most all photography imagery.
So many people in so many endeavors utilize the previous laborers fruits and do more with less basic knowledge. Not always a bad thing but to me sets up one to fail from operating on the bubble with no core on the inside.
So, yea, lots of bubble-heads floating around waiting to pop ...
