Regarding "lifecycle issues" I think [Teva’s CEO] meant "lifestyle" issues--a bissle lost in translation there.

He was using the word lifecycle in the pharma-industry sense of tweaking a drug that is losing patent protection (Copaxone) in order to extend the “lifecycle” of the franchise.
