#4906 RE: Solar_Express #4905

Thanks, SE, great to see you posting.

Took 2 days off to go to the
Printed Electronics/Photovoltaic conf
in Santa Clara about 100 miles from home.

I spent two days visiting and revisiting
the exhibitors and listened to all the
relevant sessions on inks, printing, CIGS
and Si/Opv hybrids and such. All add
more complications in search of higher
efficiency instead of simplifying the process.
The efficiency has to be that much higher
to make good the added time and expense
of the process, plus material costs.
Their knowledge of QD could fit under my
fingernail.

But all those experts in the sessions
are still predicting quantum dots are 5 to 10
years away and even further with their use
in solar. All believe improvements will come
from lowering cost and incremental improvements.
They couldn't see disruptive technology if it
hit them in the head. And I was tempted!

Most all of the exhibitors were pushing current tech
printing inks with expensive gold, copper, and silver
for their photoelectric properties, and all the printing
machines they had there, because nobody knew
what a quantum dot was or that it could be
printed. CIGS and Silicon spoken there.
Lots of thin films, and I spent some time
learning about this area, ITO and other
transparent films. Dupont and Fuji and Agfa
were the big names there. Some good carbon nanotube
and graphene suppliers and graphene impresses me
but none are a threat to QMC. The Tetrapod Quantum
Dot is a nanoparticle on steroids, it's Mr. Universe.
Printing on paper is big, RFID, circuits with thin
batteries and printed batteries on paper, too.
Conference bag had a 1/8 inch thick plug-in wall
nightlight that casts a blue glow in the dark.

Heard Mr. Lee give Dr. Jabbour's speech
with Dr. Jabbour's slides. I can tell you
that they are new slides, with more detail
and technical info well suited for the
engineer audience that was there. Only
about 50 came to the speech, but there
were 3 other concurrent tracks.

I don't have any new insights to offer on
the speech, it was all stuff I knew. If
Jabbour had made it, he might have dropped
a knowledge bomb on the audience, but that
will have to wait for his next big talk.
I heard nothing in the talk that was a
negative or would cause me to doubt anything.
It was all confirmation of what I know.

I have no idea when the company will start
announcing.

QMC/Solterra has disruptive technology.

Why would anyone sell this stock to try
to make money on other stocks and take
the chance that they might miss
something that will take care of them for
the rest of their life? If you own stock
in QMC, go away and come back in a month.
Have a Happy Holiday everybody!
