Everyone has their own reason for giving people membermarks.

I used to membermark people that I didn't like or trust just to keep an eye on them.

Most savvy people know that someone with a ton of membermarks usually is up to no good. Not all, but many.

The people who aren't savvy, will be someday after they lose some money based on who has a lot of membermarks.
