If they are for example $3500 with buying value $3000, maybe one idea is to have multiple STRs.

A STR with CV=$2000
Another STR with CV=$3000
etc.

Within a STR the CVs are all the same. Stock of which you want to hold more than $2000 could be in another STR.

STR2000, STR3000, STR5000 etc.
