Ok I must be totally thick.

I'm glad of course that Tronox is exiting bankruptcy soon.

But I just don't get the price action any longer.

Equity is being canceled. One day we'll wake up and the stock you own will be gone and replaced by something else - something probably illiquid and worth far less than what you paid for it and might not be exchange-traded. Additionally, if you want to redeem those warrants you'll have to pay more to make yourself whole.

Institutions can withstand pain like this better than me, so maybe that's why they're buying in droves? I would think the best plan would be to wait to sell until the day before the stock gets canceled?
