I can't argue with anything said in your post.....except- if you really believe that it's going to end and the company will dissolve, wouldn't spending 50 or 75 bucks for the transfer to fidelity or one of the others be better than losing it all completely? Shares are being bought and sold every day- I doubt that you wouldn't be able to sell them. Based on today's close- if you own more than 375,000 shares then you'd have money left over after the fee (assuming a $75.00 fee). So why sit by and wait to lose it all? I don't believe the company is shutting it's doors anytime soon- and I'm already with Fidelity, but if I did, and I weren't, I would be and I'd sell it.
None of my business I guess- but aren't you just spiting yourself by leaving it with Scottrade and waiting to lose it all if that's what you believe will happen?
I guess no one would ever want me as their health care proxy- because I would never pull the plug.... That's just me.
