I also see that they plan on going after Cisco in the networking market. It might be a good idea to invest back in Dell

And in keeping with their no R&D business model, they will be using Intel silicon.

The prices on these handheld systems is very aggressive. And very tempting, too. I think Dell's goal of 25% market share is possible. I also see that they plan on going after Cisco in the networking market. It might be a good idea to invest back in Dell.

Is this really a big deal though?? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but about a year ago, I saw everybody around at work runnding around with PDA's, but the novelty seems to have work off a bit. The whole PDA Market seems to be a bit depressed, and I don't see quite so many people using them these days. Maybe just my perception thing though.....?

WBMW,

re: The prices on these handheld systems is very aggressive. And very tempting, too.

Yep, I wouldn't be surprised to see them take almost instant share. I think there might be some pent-up, price sensitive demand. But I think I will wait for the WiFi thing to happen. Having a handheld sychronized with my home PC and broadband connection, could have some real interesting capabilities.

re: It might be a good idea to invest back in Dell.

I've got a few shares. They would certainly benefit from a increase in PC demand, and they seem to be slowly building share in servers. I'm not sure that I would invest based on their ability to compete with Cisco, I don't know much about that market, so would be skeptical (as I am about their expenasion into printers v. HP).
