#165438 RE: manatee #165425

"I wish you the best of luck and hope you dont buy into the old faithful here just trying to dump their shares into your account."

You misunderstand me. I think that the Monk FLD promotion was just a pump n' dump by another name. I merely stated that a FLD was theoretically possible, under perfect conditions (one being enough real short interest to make it worthwhile, not the pretend short interests that the FLD scamsters conjure up). I think CDIV and the other Monk plays are junk stock for suckers, and I am certainly not a sucker. I put my money into ABX instead, and am much happier.

I understand that, between all the FLD scam promoters and all the FLD sucker true believers, you might mistake my discussing an abstract possibility as relating to the current situation, which it does not. This whole situation reeks of fraud.

Once upon a time, short squeezes did exist. The whole point of "cornering the market" during the Gilded Age was to force a short squeeze, and that Porsche/Volkswagen stock deal a few years back was an actual short squeeze (although not in a US market). However, in neither of these cases was a "team" of regular guys with a few tens of thousands each behind the squeeze. And yes, it is a zero-sum game. What Monk was peddling was a dream that a bunch of regular guys could stick it to "the man," in this case the "evil market makers," and get rich in the process.
