In my opinion (and completely based on other trials I have seen), the longer the period of time, the better. It's been my experience that the time between last event and top-line reporting, the longer, the better. It's not a science, just my personal observation.
Companies that have reported data very quickly tended to release their results early, and quickly (ie, they knew quick that it failed).
