The focus on preparations for the submission of the IND and the cooperation with the FDA scientists - being good boys and girls, doing exactly what is required - could indeed be dictating a great deal in recent months and even years - going back far beyond the latest PR. I have called this taking the "high road". This road is neither easy nor short. It seems clear, however, that this is the road that will lead most clearly to shareholder value in the coming years. To try for a literary image, the path now is like cutting through dense brush with a machetti. But one day, it could become the Long Island Expressway.
