Gold hits all time highs and continues
I imagine Newmont will take aim at SNEY. My guess is that if SNEY has a rich site Newmont will find a way to take it. Buyout. I don't know if SNEY would sell, however.
Great drama, many scenarios.
1. SNEY shows strong REE. African REE is one of the best in the world
2. buyout offers, probably mainly from Newmont.
3. accept quickly based on pressure and unknown future of the filed... at lower buyout pps (my guess, lowest around .5 share)
4. hold on and haggle based on knowledge of the richness of the field... at higher buyout pps (my guess, around $2)
5. refuse offer! and build to growth
6. This is where things get challenging - excessive corruption, leveling fees, extra-permitting, tariffs, pressure and threats, and... global attention to enviromental industries re: pollution controls and measures will be increasing.
I see SNEY as soon facing the struggle to sell out or attempt these challenges to growth. Being a small company I think the long-term growth in light of socio-political pressures might be insurmountable.
I would love to see it, but I expect a buyout around a few cents.
Any ideas on this? I'd love to have my pessimism proven wrong.
