Thanks for the update TJW

WNBD is still a young company (many forget that), even though it has been around publicly for four plus years.

There was mentioned about the first C-store initiative in Indy. This was the first 'go' at such an endeavor. It was to gain information and learn as much as anything else imo.

“The Local 100 program is designed to create ‘hot zones’ where Winning Colours Stain Remover can gain traction through sheer exposure. We are focusing on the convenience store category in our ‘Local 100’ programs for several reasons. Firstly, there are nearly 140,000 such outlets in America today; in other words, they are everywhere. Secondly, within this group, there is a healthy variety of suitable field teams with whom to develop custom fulfillment arrangements. Thirdly, a higher than average proportion of convenience stores are independently owned. This lets the pace of our progress match our own initiative because convenience stores can react faster than conventional retail chains for such a program.”

Winning Colours was not very known yet in USA back in June 2009, it was in some smaller ma/pa stores and spread out in relatively great length (city/states). We didn't have product specific site and other advertising/marketing things like we have now. Even the youtube videos were just starting to be created at that time.

I'm more interested in how Hasty Market (in Canada is doing - since this is a chain of c-stores) as well as Udell's current status on that initiative and how this 'past experiences - good and bad' will help shape the Duane Reade activation.

Very interested in how they take what they've learned and integrate into Duane Reade (which they can also pull from Piggly Wiggly, Spartan Stores, IGA, Progressive, etc relative to grocery sector - since many Duane Reade also serve in that function/role in their neighborhoods).

Add in the fact Lorne's direct involvement in New York with Jansovic and Capital Paint Center...he can take all that information and help formulate a 'best of practices' that ultimately could have positive impacts on both consumers, Duane Reade and ultimately shareholders of WNBD.

Initial or past disappointments are just that, learning opportunities and WNBD operationally continues to improve as illustrated by 'more distinguished distributors/retailers' (Lancaster, London Drugs, Hasty Market, Progressive, Spartan Stores, Lowes, etc.) taking on the product and having better 'tools and information (knowledge)' to make it mutually rewarding for all.

Thanks for the follow up TJW! I am not sure what the terms of the agreement with Lowe's is...they may have to leave it on the paint counter for a specific amount of time but good to hear some of the small bottles are missing.

I have been checking the paint counters in the Lowes around me for some months now...always hopeful to be able to take a pic and post it here.
