Poke around a bit and you can find a website that lists his case history, including the appeals of his decisions that have been won and lost.

Whatever concern you have re a bias in disposition, I think you can look at the decisions in the appeals courts that are the ones he's lost badly, note how and why those appeals were lost, and expect that there is a reasonably good chance that he's not likely to put himself in a position to lose a very similar case on appeal for the same or similar reasons...

I think it might be useful to look carefully at the Markle filings in that context...

Don't know anything. I would assume Markle has some idea. Maybe that's why he wants it transferred. We'll have to see.
