Their effort was not to weaken the dollar... think about that a different way...gains in the markets.....increase inflation...by 1 to 1 1/2% (spending)...building wealth... will then translate into the jobs....that's their effort short term. We'll see if that happens. Z

Of course a weak dollar won't bring us jobs. If that were true we'd be at 100% employment considering the value of the USD has fallen 99% since the Fed was created.

the "weak dollar is good for America" theory was created at a time when America led the world in manufacturing. Now we only lead the world in consumption, debt and the per catipa rate of incarceration., A weak dollar is not good. It just gets parroted around by CNBC and sycophantic fascists in order to justify it's further demise, the only real beneficiaries of which are banks and the government due to the fact that it allows them to pay their debts with worthless paper. It's a form of stealth default. I would be the equivalent of you being able to pay your bills with monopoly money. What a wonderful world it would be for you yes?
