BIG TIME, only in one article do they report on the strength. In one report I read a scientist weighing in on what was achieved said that it depends on the strength relative to natural spider thread, "if it is still only 1/5 as strong as spider thread then it isnt as big a breakthrough." That scientist weighing in on it didnt even know.

Kim needs to shout it at the top of a mountain 80 percent as strong as natural spider thread. In an email I sent to kim I also told him he should make a sample clothing article from monster silk so perspective partners can compare it to "horse hair" silk. I am confident that monstersilk is silkier, if you watch the PR, frazer said the strength was approaching that of natural spider thread, and there was refinement of texture. Key words there approaching(80 percent) and refinement(silkier).

I believe his holding back this information has something to do with the scientists desire to publish. I suspect he has some type of an agreement letting them go first. Lets hope there are some of those brilliant scientists reading this board and they get a move on!
