Yep, there's tons of info in the waves. Here's another example...
Look at Wave 2 in that chart. Notice how it moved up sharply and then dropped back down? It was a quick wave in other words. Now note that Wave 4 was long and drawn out...sideways, in other words.
In a 5 wave series, you will almost always find that Waves 2 and 4 have opposite characteristics. If Wave 2 is sharp and quick, Wave 4 will be long and boring. Or vice versa...if Wave 2 is long, drawn out and boring, Wave 4 will be sharp and quick.
Knowing the characteristics helps to identify the waves more accurately. :-)
