If the corporate world wanted to take it over they would have taken it over already. Don't by into the anti prop 19 BS, its stirred up by people who are greedy and know there profit margins will be cut in half (alcohol companies, medical companies, medical marijuana etc) You have to start somewhere, prop 19 is a start, we can always reintroduce propositions later on.
You have to remember one thing, corporations have products that the average joe cant produce. They are manufactured with extremely expensive machines, with tons of capital, advertisement and research behind them. Marijuana grows in the ground with a seed.
One of the main reasons marijuana has been illegal and the corporate world hasn't dipped into the profits of it is because anyone can grow it, it doesn't require huge machines and money to be grown. There is no way to really corner the market.
The other thing is, thousands of people will be growing and selling marijuana if this passes, you would still have the choice not to buy from a corporation.
