Our products are a natural enhancement to the current initiatives and federal mandates set forth to deploy intelligent devices within the power grid. Our products are uniquely designed to address and solve the primary challenges utility operators face in their task to update and secure our electrical grids.

Grid Mesh – Infrax’s revolutionary wireless smart meter mesh platform. Grid Mesh solves what has been the biggest challenge faced by utilities, connecting each home to the Smart Grid in an efficient, scalable, and secure way. By utilizing our proprietary wireless system that enables each “Smart Meter” to interconnect with one another creating a large meshed network. Our Multi-hop mesh technology (where each node can communicate with any other node) has proven to be both reliable and redundant. Of equal importance is that it can be easily scaled to include millions of end points (whether that be a smart meters, thermostats, or sensors). Further, Grid Mesh can be installed very quickly and the network does not require sophisticated planning and site mapping to achieve reliability. The advantage of our Grid Mesh is that scalability is easily achieved.

* High interference immunity - Dynamic Channel Selection (DCS) One of the most important features of GridMesh is the use of Dynamic Channel Selection (DCS) which allows different systems and system operators to utilize the same group of available channels without prior distribution of channels to specific services or bases stations.
* Greater Spectral Efficiency Grid Mesh utilizes more than double the amount of channels available for WiFi.
* Greater Receiver Sensitivity – Provides Grid Mesh enabled end points greater range and reduces the density and cost of the infrastructure.
* Self-configuring – Our Grid Mesh technology allows for new endpoints to be added very efficiently helping reduce the operational expenses.
* Self Healing = Multiple redundant communications paths throughout the network
* Low Latency – Our Grid Mesh technology utilizes a TDM based protocol that reduces latency.
* Low cost End Points – Our Grid Mesh technology is less expensive than our competitors.
* Proprietary RF Protocol using an air-interface technology based on time division multiple access (TDMA) and time division duplex (TDD) on multiple RF carriers. On each carrier the TDMA structure defines multiple time slots in a 10 ms frame, where each time slot may be used to transmit one self contained packet of data. One of the most important features of GridMesh is the use of Dynamic Channel Selection (DCS) which allows different systems and system operators to utilize the same group of available channels without prior distribution of channels to specific services or bases stations.

* Integrated Back-haul – Infrax Networks has a proven set of wireless broadband products that ideal for connecting the Grid Mesh networks back to the power substations.
