So starthewonderpup if I understand you correctly shareholders will have to pay taxes for 2004 on sndh. What if the shares are not distributed by Apr 15th, will they still have to pay the tax? What will the value be placed on the stock....whatever the bid is quoted on the date the stock was distributed or suppose to be distributed? This might get tricky. tia

Jig-here's what happens when you don't tax qualify a stock dividend:

It is important to note that the $0.30 per share regular common stock dividend that had a record date of December 31, 2003 and a payment date of January 13, 2004, was reportable on shareholders' 2003 tax returns. The other three common stock dividends and the special common stock dividend paid in 2004 are reportable on shareholders' 2004 tax returns. In addition, the $0.30 per share regular fourth quarter common stock dividend that had a record date of December 31, 2004 and a payment date of January 13, 2005 is also reportable on shareholders' 2004 tax returns.

starthewonderpup~~For all of you unsupported information, one might think you worked in HQNT's Accounting Department. How may shares of HQNT did you say you owned? I'm pretty sure someone said that you have no position in HQNT. If you have no position in HQNT, then I wonder, oh how I wonder just what you are doing here on this board. Hmmmmmmm? So are you a paid basher?
