All that matters at this time is that the DEC knows the type of plastic that is being put in and whether natural gas is being used in the process etc. They are the governing body in NY state that will issue the permit and not Mr. JJ Smith. Once they get the approval I'm sure they will p.r the details of their granted permit.
If they decide at this time that they want to only deal with a certain type of plastic because it abundantly available to them then I am personally fine with that but I'm pretty sure that they will continue to test other types etc and continue to work with the DEC on getting approval for that.
The permit will provide us with some answers so until that time sit back and wait.
