guaranteed you will get them form HP and Office Depot. You can track them and check status online also . Just keep a copy of your (receipt and SKU )

I bought my wireless router + pcmcia card (both DLINK) in the US and let a US friend of mine sort out the rebates, but never got any.

rebates are very common in US. number 1 reason for rebates is to fool investors and meet Wall Street expectations (by revenue) . Where the FULL sale price is recorded under (total sales). And rebates are recorded under (write-offs, expenses, … )
