Whatever it was, I know that MATW specializes in bronze with their separate divisions. I could be wrong in calling it a bronze finish, it is a black finish just like the photos, but I will tell you seeing it is much better than seeing only a photo. MATW as always did a great job manufacturing the urn. I am sure if it is composite or bronze finish it will sell. The Trekkies out there will spend their money since EI and MATW have the only one allowed that has a license. I am not one to mislead folks, so if it is composite or bronze I was personally impressed with it.
