Its possible, however, extremely unlikely that a firm would represent both sides of a transaction, but the clients could both sign a waiver of conflict of interest. Also, I just don't understand why everyone gets so impressed with the firms that ERHC is using or come to any conclusions other than they were hired specifically for the work that ERHC needed done. Every major big law firm is going to have departments and lawyers that are experts in the areas of law that ERHC hires them for, the specific firms that ERHC hired were probably chosen because Ntephe knew someone in the firm, you could go down the list of the AM 100 and everyone of those firms is going to have lawyers who charge more than their worth but have expertise in the areas that ERHC needs legal services in.
