What you say is true.. AND the basis for the fundamental problem of disrespect for Law Enforcement.

With 19 passage, County Sheriff Lee Baca and others of the same ilk, will make their last such public statement while employed by the STATE. Each, wannabe,FEDERAL, State employee will see that one looks like a horses ass, contravening those that vote. That last statement they make in regards to ignoring, voted in, civil rights will be somewhere in the time frame where they see the opportunity of a Federal career float away without them,, in large part because of the same statements.

Once made a fool of, the tool is used less and less.

Here is my 2 cents on why i think Eric Holders statements will help Prop 19 pass. The tea party movement is based largely on states rights vs federal power. right now the energy is with the tea party, as well as the Prop 19 movement. most of the tea party demographic would have voted no on Prop 19, however, with the fervor over states rights it is looking like that vote will now be split.

people don't want to be told their vote doesn't matter. eric holder and the feds have just said that to the entire state of california. people don't like being told that and a portion that was on the fence will now say, "f u, don't tell me my vote doesn't count".

the feds also threatened the same nonsense when prop 215 was being voted on back in 1996.
