viking - you'll be glad to hear that as of yesterday, according to company officials they are still on schedule to complete their remaining live-wire test, release speed and distance numbers and deliver a working prototype to a potential customer by the end of this year.

as for the movie. hollywood seems to work in strange ways ( like we didn't already know that ). negociations are just that, negociations. one side wants to pay as little as possible while the other side wants to get paid as much as possible. the good news is that NVEI will indeed get some upfront money with any distributorship deal they sign. " MY "impression is that will be a minimum of what it cost them to produce it ( $ 2.2 million ), but could be more. it's also my impression that part of those negociations surround how much upfront money they get as opposed to what final % of the profits they get. in other words they may have the option to take more upfront money and a lesser % of the profits. and of course there's always the possibility they could sell 100% of the rights to the movie in one lump sum. but the good news remains the company will not have to wait for the movie to open to see considerable revenues from it.
