Bakken oil field maps show counties while road maps show roads, not counties. Here is a map of Bakken oil fields.

I think I have located Sidney as being to the left of the blue box saying MONDAK. Sidney is located somewhere in the yellow colored area with the green dots. The green dots designate oil wells. This says that Sidney is well located.
