The people burned were the short-termers. I've been in since 2003 and this past week my stock value increased by 460%. I am SO in this for the long haul...
The shareholders here are a remarkably tenacious lot. Doesn't take a lot of rocket science in the effort in DD to figure that out. Some here would much sooner pry your shares out of your hands with lawyers rather than sell you a single one of theirs... while others want them badly enough to work hard at stealing them from you... literally.
