ZEN, yes, I recall that post by bigfella on the BIPH RB board, and that was part of the persuasion for a MDT pacemaker deal, along with CEO comments about previous talks with Medtronic. Speculating that Medtronic MDT would be the first through the door for pacemakers could be all wrong, maybe Guidant will sign on first, makes no difference. However like most longs into the DD, I believe that BIPH will eventually cut a deal with all the pacemaker companies, as MRI safe will become the gold standard. Lawsuits may follow companies that make implants that are not MRI safe, when the technology is available. So it really doesn't make much difference who it is that signs on first.
