Agreed,... most likely the news will be viewed favorably after the weekend and the stock price will continue on an upward trend - at least until some bad news comes out somewhere. We'll see next week whether that is a correct assumption (or not).
However - markets are irrational even on a good day for the short term, something percieved as bad news could come out, or we could get up high enough to start triggering some individual's selling price triggers.
Regardless - I'm not selling at fractional dollar prices even if I don't buy any more. If demand becomes high enough, some will start selling and others will view the remining risk (real or percieved) as too high to continue to buy in.
