I like the bottom one the best as signage. Needs work if you want it in black and white, or as a watermark or something like that. But you could use just the background for that, the mountains and the arrow.

Number 2 is my choice. It is simple, clean, to the point, easy to reproduce in any media. Good for letterheads, envelopes, business cards, t-shirts, etc. Reproduces well in B&W and shades of Grey. Perhaps replace the red with orange.

The Next Online Brokerage Logo so-so Built By You

lets tabulate these three

#1 got 15 votes (#66)
#2 got 6 votes (#10)
#3 got 28 votes (#53)

lets test the logic you used

1. Matt, Bob, Dave and brokerage guys are all artistic challenged
2. Thusly rather than create a logo they run this contest
3. Folks in number 1 above pick the winner

ok,
artistically challenged people are the judges

Conclusion: Matt needs a long talk with Paulie Pixel

how,
Did this contest go astray?

simply,
The sample set allowed entries to describe the entrails
of BobZ's Neked Rubber Chicken.

All three, bush-league attempts.

For sure those posting on this board trade like professionals,
rendering their comments first class for the "Built By You"
as what the trader wants, but in regards to the logo,
gosh Matt, you would of shown wisdom in reflection to yourself
saying that you are clueless in the logo design department,
and assume only a very few here like Paulie can produce a logo
of the professional caliber, not by an amateur or "needs $1,000."

Anyway, for $1,000 you could of got many dozen examples
using the many on-line professional logo makers, and then
just do a simple non-money contest and let this board vote
on the selection, then you et al can do as you just did,
except your final art'less choice would have been atleast
one of a bunch of all good ones.

Pick one of those three and get what a highschool art class
would generate. That is if none had a natural talent for art.

Simple is best, but the colors are off on #2

Oh, my! A problem ...

Logo #1: This has to be the ugliest logo I've ever seen ... but I've liked it since the first time I saw it. It does the best job of implying our common (except for shorties) hope ... a rising market.

Logo #2: This one has simplicity and clarity. Join us. We're a NO-B/S outfit.

Logo #3: Not bad. It's actually quite attractive, but I still hate to be reminded of Orange County's "Run For The Hills!"

OK. Want to wrap up this logo contest. Ken wants to give winner check on Friday. So....

Based on comments I've seen, both publicly and privately, and in my opinion, I think #2 is the best.

It's simple and clean. When I look at other brokerage sites, I can easily see this one as a comparable logo.

The only changes I'd consider are colors and maybe adding the little stuff to the "I"s like we have on the Investors Hub logo. Nice touch AND it'd show that iHub is a part of this thing in a cool way.

I can also easily see this on shirts and other items. It's easy to read and very clean.

Want to finalize this tonight.

Any final comments?
