Golden Dory has the following institutional investor:
Kingsmont Investment Management, Inc. 2.94million 11.30% as of 31 Dec 2009.

Here's a PR about their joint-venture with a couple other exploration companies trading on the TSX:

Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HALIFAX, Nov. 24 /CNW/ - Royal Roads Corp. (RRO-TSX-V) ("Royal Roads"), Benton Resources Corp. (BTC-TSX-V) ("Benton") and Golden Dory Resources Limited ("Golden Dory") (a wholly owned subsidiary of 540 Capital Corp, (FA-TSX-V) ("540")) are pleased to announce that they have entered into a joint venture agreement on a 222 km2 property in central Newfoundland, to explore a newly recognized environment prospective for magmatic nickel sulphide deposits.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I noticed on this page in Golden Dory's "project" tab (http://www.goldendoryresources.com/index.php?page_id=68&sub_page=76), that it mentions a wind farm and has a pic, but I'm not sure how the wind farm relates to Golden Dory. If it's their's then, perhaps they're earning carbon credits to be sold in the carbon market. Is that what the previous PR was mentioning? Some of you know my thoughts on the whole carbon credit deal, but that's a conversation for another day. I only mentioned it here for informational purposes.

Quote:

Along with the new listing, our Consultants will assist in increasing shareholder value by diversifying and adding "Carbon Credit" projects into KAT's portfolio of assets. It is expected that these projects will generate significant amounts of revenue to KAT's bottom line financials. A choice of Carbon Credit projects in Brazil and Sierra Leone are being considered at this time. KAT believes that adding a piece of carbon credit assets to its portfolio will greatly enhance shareholder value.

Anyways, hope this will get the DD ball rolling here. Gotta run, sorry I couldn't provide more DD as of yet with this guy.

Now all this is starting to make sense. So, Froude worked for Cornerstone, did all that work on Rusty Ridge, went to work for Golden Dory...and now we just so happened to hire Dean Fraser as our P. geo and geophysicist (the Director of Golden Dory), then figure in Golden Dory's wind farm and carbon market involvement...nice play Ken, nice play... Just goes to show Ken is three steps ahead and clearly he planned all of this a while back. BTW, didn't someone just post something on the KATX board about Kingsmont Investment Management (an institutional investor of Golden Dory).

stockgonewild's post: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=54701412
Tim Froude was the senior VP of Crosshair in 2006. Now he works for RockBridge chasing REE's in Newfoundland. Worked for Conerstone...He also works for Golden Dory Resources Ltd. He's the real deal.

Click the link below Tim Froude's profile. Scroll down and see who the Crosshairs General Manager of exploration was(J. Wayne Pickett, P. Geo)... These guys have been excited about Rusty Ridge's potential for over a decade now and have seem to come back together again to finally drill it...drilling Rusty Ridge will be an historical moment for all of us imo

Timothy Froude, P.Geo., Senior VP Exploration: Extensive experience in Newfoundland geology and mineral deposits; instrumental in building property portfolio at Cornerstone Resources; previous successes include discovery of Valentine Lake gold prospect for BP and involvement in discovery of Bobby Pond's VMS deposit for Inco.

Timothy Froude graduated from the Memorial University of Newfoundland in May 1988 with a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree. Mr. Froude is past Executive Director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chamber of Mineral Resources, where he remains a director. He is a member of the Associate Fellow Geological Association of Canada (GAC) and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland (APEGN).

You can see his picture on page 2 of this link. He is also the Chair of the chamber of mineral resorces for Newfoundland and Labrador.

With that Rusty Ridge & Olympic Dam comparison...

A huge thanks to you stocksgonewild!!! I think that is why I was a little confused with some of my own DD (LOL). Rusty Ridge is actually the previous Ken’s Mountain property that is referenced within that report you have posted. I forgot that Rusty Ridge was originally known as Ken's Mountain.

This is a KATX post that should be read by all:

It also seems like there is even more DD for more confirmation, but that should be enough given the magnitude of the qualifications of Tim Froude.

So I wish they'd just get on with the drilling already. If the weather is impeding let us know! Once again they are going quiet, when they say a drilling program has started they really need to learn to keep the momentum going. I'm falling asleep here when I should be watching the progression, jumping for joy. Let's go already!

Interestingly, Tim Froude and J. Wayne Pickett share a common background - both of them worked on IOCG and VMS properties for Crosshair and both of them were part of the team that discovered the Bobby's Pond VMS Deposit for Inco (that's VALE) in Newfoundland...

October 17, 2005
J. Wayne Pickett and Dean Nawata Join the Team at Crosshair

Crosshair Exploration and Mining Corp. (TSX-V: CXX) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. J. Wayne Pickett, M.Sc., P.Geo., is joining the Crosshair Exploration team as General Manager - Exploration for the Company's Newfoundland and Labrador Projects. Mr. Pickett will work closely with Mr. Timothy Froude, the Company's Sr. Vice-President - Exploration to advance the Company's Labrador Moran Lake Uranium / IOCG project as well as the Company's promising Newfoundland South Golden Promise Gold Project and Victoria Lake VMS project

Mr. Pickett has over 25 years experience in mineral exploration in various parts of Canada, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Ghana. He was part of the geology team that discovered the Collins Bay "B" Uranium Deposit in northern Saskatchewan for Gulf Minerals and the Bobby's Pond VMS Deposit for Inco in Newfoundland.

Tim Froude was one of P. Geo's that claims that Rusty Ridge has Olympic Dam potential...and he's not the only one. Still searching on the others.

See page 3 of this report...

I was doing some DD tonight using Google and thought I found something that has not been talked about here yet.

All of the wining for new DD and all...

Well looks like its not new after all and it has been brought up before.

So StocksGoneWild,

Thanks

With only 2 holes drilled and then the company went quiet. Except REE and Gold and something that this group here is not familiar with IOCG

http://gsc.nrcan.gc.ca/mindep/synth_dep/iocg/index_e.php#typ <---Read this

Several of the giant IOCG deposits belong to the Olympic Dam sub-type (e.g. 600 Mt Manto Verde and 470 Mt La Candelaria), fewer belong to the other sub-types (e.g. Cloncurry sub-type 789 Mt Salobo deposit; Table 2). The Phalaborwa deposit (Table 2) is presently the world's second largest copper mine and has by-products of Au, Ag, platinum group metals, magnetite, P, U, Zr, REE, Ni, Se, Te, and Bi (Leroy, 1992). The Bayan Obo deposit hosts the world's largest resource of rare earths, and is presently the principal rare-earths producer (Orris and Grauch, 2002). In Canada, the largest IOCG deposit is the 42 Mt NICO deposit (Lou Lake) of the Cloncurry sub-type, while the 17 Mt Sue-Dianne deposit of the Olympic Dam sub-type contains metals comparable to those of the Starra deposit in the Cloncurry district (Table 2). It is currently undergoing feasibility studies.

Hell everything has potential. It is not until it is studied and drilled before you can ascertain it's true value. You can find gold in the bags of sand you buy at Home Depot so I guess you could say it has potential gold. Just not enough to amount to anything. Like anything on these scams they use disclaimers to cover for their lies and deceit!
