Sometimes being more direct means disclosing inside information. This company appears to be doing everything by the book and are carefully planning each move. I think they have something very, very big on their hands and they want to make sure they don't blow this once in a lifetime opportunity they find themselves being a part of. Nothing wrong with making sure they get everything right the first time.
