#1618 RE: goldrusher #1617

OT--goldrusher--re: multiple monitors:
I have three monitors running now, and could have four, but one blew up last week. NEC monitors are the best IMO.

I use Nvidia display adapters. I have one FX5900 256MB(AGP)(good game card, but I can't wait to get a 6800(($300.+)) for my games), and one FX5500 256MB(PCI). It's best to use the same brand name as they use the same drivers. Both have two outputs=four monitors.

On the top two, I run "Fidelity Active Trader Pro" as one of my trading platforms. It is Awesome, but Scottrader looks WAY better, so I run it on the bottom two. I have four charts on the top right, and a watch list with two Level II's and two Time and Sales on the top left(Fidelity). On the bottom, I have two charts, a watch list, and four Time and Sales(Scottrader). With the fourth monitor, I have four more charts, for a total of ten. I watch the same ten stocks on both watch lists.

I consider myself very lucky to be able to work from home, and for myself. I spent way too many years Trucking away from home. When CTC becomes a ten bagger, we plan to build a nice log home in the Lake Tenkiller area just down the road from us. It's very underdeveloped there, so land is Cheap($1K/acre). It's one of the nicest areas in all of Oklahoma I know of...

Anyway, I hope this helps...When you're ready to hookup your multiple monitors, just ask if you get stuck, I'm sure I can help. It's really quite simple to do. And while you're in there, you'll probably want to add a stick of memory, as you will need it to run multiple monitors.
Good Luck,
Musk
