Good question. I'd have to say its straight up, I can't envisage a secret deal, not with a modern PSC and JOA arrangement and the reporting requirements for some of the participants.
Being a 'Nigeria watcher' and following the fortunes of various E&P companies there I think you guys are obsessing about JDZ and secret deals a bit too much, the value in this company may be elsewhere. Look to ERHC to get involved in the Shell onshore divestments that are starting, they are well positioned and that's a much better bet, plenty of value there. Also EEZ may prove interesting in the long term, but it needs a big player to enter and is fairly exotic.
But this is just my view on it.
