As I mentioned on the EIGH board, I can't see level 2 where I'm at right now, but they're likely boutique MMs. They can be hired by other MMs to help mask moves. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they're running orders for our normal MMs in an effort to make it look like there is increased selling/sell pressure.
It could also be hedgefunds that haven't bothered to do any research deciding to short a stock that looks to be overbought.
Either way, it's fools folly at this point. This mornings little scare tactic sure jarred loose a bunch of shares... lol
