That is the percent a number the market makers shorted. They very well could have covered some of those but my guess is not. There were buyers for the stock and instead of finding sellers through the normal way by raising the price up the makers figured they would short those shares and then down tick the ask and try and get folks to sell lower and then they would cover. We have no way of knowing how much they covered by causing folks to panic sell. I would love to see the strong buyers come in and make them cover that would shoot this thing up even higher...
Yes, and the shorts may even be a higher percentage. There was obviously a problem with the mm's reporting today. Our total volume was 506K but they only reported 407K....This happened with many stocks today. But the percentage of shorts on what they did report was extremely high.....Good sign for us!!
