When volume is low and the share price stays within a certain range for a # of days with no significant drop it is a good thing because when news hits and volume picks up we are obviously going up.

Think about it... if the JV is formally announced and suddenly volume goes to say 50 million what do you think is going to happen to share price?

Depends what happens on the volume, not just the amount. Here is what happened today:

• There was low volume, and their was no significant price change except for the morning drop, which probably happened as a few individuals probably bought in yesterday expecting then court news rumor to come true.
• The volume shows shares are being held tight and panic selling has relaxed from the suit. Considering the range today it seems MMs have calmed down and aren't swinging the price on low volume buys and sells.
• Obviously there wasn't a great deal of buying pressure, but that's obviously from lack of news, which is impending no matter which way you look at it.

mastaaje has a GREAT response. However you will also notice on many boards (not necessarily this one) that there will be people who are so over the top optimistic (probably pumpers, or just ignorant) that will claim victory even if the stock drops 50%. Whether they are just really good at finding the silver lining in everything. Or maybe they just hope if they keep telling themselves that things good that it will make it true.

All that to say is don't believe all the hype on the all boards that constantly tell you the stock is "about to take off....too da moon" or "here comes the bounce, buy in now before it's too late". If there is one thing I've learned in my short penny stock experience it's buyer beware.

That being said, of course I'd rather have seen +10%, but low volume and relatively low price drop with the news pending definitely seems like a good position right now.

What I meant by being locked and loaded is that I think most of the buying and selling was between the MM's buying and selling to each other for the last week or so,trying to keep the price down while they shorted this down and loaded up. They know and everybody else knows news is coming. Whether it is really good news, mediocre news or bad news nobody knows for sure(except for people on the inside). It was pretty obvious starting at 2PM today most activity came to a total standstill (locked). That is the 1st time I can remember that happening since I started watching this stock 24-7 at the begining of the summer.
I believe the MM's have millions of shares to sell when news is released (personally I think it is going to be Really,Really good news) and I think they relize this also. So at this point it is fully loaded and ready to go !!!!!!! JMHO !!!!!

They might even know at this point that we will have a NR tomorrow !!!!!!

Like SGR says. This is not a penny stock. This is a dollar stock selling for pennies.
