Shasta - I'm an energy bull, so I think everyone should have a sizable core energy position. Mine is well over 1/2 my portfolio, but that is probably excessive for most people.

I would not trade in and out of energy stocks until some core position is established.

I have had a number of bids to add to my trading positions this past month, but CCJ and UPL were only ones to hit. I have been moving up my bids, but there have not been any pull back. I will probably load up next time my favorite stocks pull back to their 20-50 day moving averages. My favs are DVN, NFX, XOM, UPL, NBR, MVK, BJS, BTU, CNX, CCJ. There are several others on my radar that I have not yet taken a position.

energy looks a little toppy to me, sold some out of money covered calls on NBR and DVN, sold mom's EOG.
