I have heard that argument before and I don't beleive it holds water. Intuitively I see what you are saying but I don't think you can make the inference that because the 3rd event has taken longer than forecasted that means the drug is working or working better etc. Two many variables. It would be nice to draw that conclusion but for all we know its the people in the control arm that are living longer.
