ElderWolf and porscha, Excellent posts by both of you this morning. You both bring up some very good points and questions. This is why we have Tom Cooper and Brad Ketch and Ken MacLeod on board to make sure that NVEI does bring our tech to market in the best way possible. They are talking to our target customers, finding out just what they need and desire, at this time, in terms of speeds and distances. I have my full faith in these guys, they have been thru this before, they know how to get the desired results and they have a plan.

And as a reminder, an answer from one of the latest Q and A's from the web site:

"We are completely committed to bringing this technology to market. We are a fabless semiconductor company that has one focus: fast, profitable revenue growth. To that end, we expect to release a prototype this year. We expect that our prototype will offer speeds and distances that are farther and faster than other products that are currently on the market. We are excited to be getting to this stage, and are proud to disclose to target customers, under Non-Disclosure Agreement, some of the features and benefits of our technology."

I am really liking what I am seeing develop here.

Elderwolf, great point. The method of transmission factor is a huge element in this project.

You are right. What I hear about the product is that the NVEI card coming to market will handle 10 T-1 line/card vs. 1 T-1 line per card , now. The telcos would save money by having 1/10th the number of cards to maintain on the exchange boards. As for as earth shattering speed/volume specs, that claim does not seem to be batted about so much here of late

In the present telco situation, "DO NOT SPEND MONEY, work with what you have, don't bring me any new deals", environment, the NVEI new thing product would appear to be a VERY tough sell today.

Time will tell.
