In my college, chemistry courses and other curriculum were/are tailored to majors. I believe most colleges do the same thing. What I described is exactly what occurred in P-Chem lab. Although many dreaded the pressure, I didn't mind it because I was quite skilled at figuring out what was in the weekly glob. In Organic Chem, besides the normal subject matter we also learned how to make a few legal and illegal drugs. You'll probably say that's not true either even though it is.
Don't come here accusing me of not telling the truth on a course I attended dude and you obviously didn't. You're no expert on every college P-Chem curriculum taught across the nation so don't pretend you are.
